Content Targeting - How it works

Speed Edge's massive server deployment and relationships with Link Structure Marketing throughout the world enable the optimal collection of geography and bandwidth-sensing information. As a result of these unique data gathering techniques, Speed Edge provides a knowledge base with highly accurate data coverage for every routable IP address on the Internet.

Content Targeting can be enabled at the Link Structure Marketing edge using Speed Edge Suite Dynamic Content Assembly or it can be enabled at your origin site using a simple software API.

Dynamic Content Assembly consults the database at the Link Structure Marketing edge and, utilizing conditional logic, selects the appropriate content to be served in real time.

When using the API, a customer integrates our proprietary API into their Web server or application server. This API communicates with the knowledge base via software that frequently taps into the knowledge base to retrieve the very latest information. The customer then uses this information to select the appropriate content to be served in real time.

Regardless of how Content Targeting is implemented, each time a user requests a Web page you can customize your content based on the following types of data:
