Can I get my two-tone ring resized again?
I have a platinum-18k gold two tone ring. The gold is in the center and the platinum is around both edges. It came too big and I already had it reduced by a half a size. Now, I feel like it's still too big. Can it be reduced another half size? I was told it's very difficult to do but can it be done? And will there be any consequences? Damage, color change, etc?
That should not be a problem whatsoever, especially because it doesn't have stones. I have known a friend of mine to re-size a titanium (!) ring down by three sizes. Something most gold smiths will say is impossible, mostly because they lack the skill.
Bottom line, get a really good experienced gold smith and you won't even see that it has been re-sized.
The fact that the first time it wasn't done right tells me that the gold smith was pretty bad.
